GardenGenius Keystone Wildflower Seed Tin
This is the most mission-critical seed tin in our inventory, the GardenGenius Keystone Wildflower Seed Tin includes 3 Keystone Wildflowers that together hosts approximately 211 Caterpillar Species and 147 Pollen Specialist Bee Species. The GardenGenius Keystone Wildflower Seed Tin includes a dozen seeds (12) from Stiff Leaf Goldenrod, Smooth Blue Aster and Lanceleaf Coreopsis. That's a total of 36 mission-critical seeds to provide approximately 358 essential insects food and shelter. GardenGenius Keystone Wildflower Seed Tins include:
- Stiff leaf goldenrod (Solidago rigida)
- Smooth Blue Aster (Symphyotrichum laeve)
- Lanceleaf Coreopsis (Coreposis lanceolata)
- 3 Growth Media Pucks
To grow Smooth Blue Aster, bury seed just below the soil surface. Keep soil moist until germination. Plant in groups of 3 about 1-2 feet apart to keep plant upright and stable. Single plant may topple over in high winds but this will not hurt the plant.
Store Stiff leaf goldenrod in freezer for 6-8 weeks prior to placing seed on top of soil and pressing down lightly. Seed needs light to germinate. Keep soil moist until germination.
Store Lanceleaf Coreposis in freezer for 3-4 weeks prior to planting seed just below the soil surface (1/16 inch deep). Keep soil moist until germination.
Plant selection is for Ecoregion 8-Eastern Temperate Forests
